Honey Sesame Pork

Holy Keto-Moly! Last night's dinner was so amazing! When people think about pork, their minds quickly go to bacon. NO, this dish wasn't salty, NO it didn't taste like bacon with sauce. It was a smooth, melting sensation of decadence. I added some veggies to the mix & BOOM, Keto-Mazing. I've mentioned this brand before, but Skinny Pasta has a Keto Friendly rice that completes this dish. You don't know that you're eating healthy, nor that this food isn't "Keto friendly." I hope you all enjoy this just as much as we did!

Ingredients

· 1 lb pork belly

· 1/4 cup Sugar Free honey

· 3 tablespoons tamari sauce or low sodium soy sauce

· 1 tbs Swerve Brown Sugar

· 4 cloves garlic, minced

· 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

· 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

How to cook sliced pork belly

1. Slice pork belly into small cube-like pieces. Slice off extra fat, if you wish (Keeping the fat makes this dish so much more delicious!).

2. Add sliced pork belly to a large pan and start frying on high heat. Do not add cooking oil.

3. Constantly move pork belly slices in the beginning. Cook them for about 5 minutes on one side on high heat, then 5 minutes on the other side on high-medium heat. If you can use a splatter screen. The total cooking time should be about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to medium if the pan gets too hot. The sliced pork belly should get crispy and browned.

4. As you are cooking you might have to reduce heat from high to medium as the pan gets hot. There shouldn't be any burnt pieces and the pan should not get burned on the bottom (I used a ceramic coated pan). Don't crowd the pan. Depending on the size of your frying pan, you might have to do this in 2 batches.

5. Remove pan-fried pork belly slices to a plate. Leave any pieces that may be left over.

Honey Garlic Sauce

1. Add 1/4 cup honey and 3 tablespoons tamari sauce, minced garlic, Swerve brown sugar, and chili garlic sauce. Let simmer & grab those bits from the bottom of the pan.

2. Heat up the sauce until it boils, reduce heat, and cook for about 1-minute whisking.

3. Add 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds and stir it in. Add back the sliced pork belly. Let simmer for about 3 – 5 minutes, letting the pork soak into the sauce.

4. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds on top. Remove from heat.

5. Top with chopped green onion and serve over cauli rice or konjac noodles/rice.

**Note**

Cooked Vegetables can be added to the pan once the pork is back in. Any stir fry vegetable (Keto Friendly) will mesh well. I used snap peas, broccoli, and cauliflower! It was the BOMB dot com!

Surprisingly, I didn't have to add any salt or pepper to this mix. If it is your desire, please do so, to your taste.
